My name is Lior and along with several other properties I'm managing the Begin 19 apartments compound, located in the first office building that was built in Tel Aviv, and served as the British government house in the beginning of the last century.

The building, historically named Beit Hadar-Dafna, is located at the corner of Menachem Begin way and railway way. The building was designed in 1934 by architect Carl Rubin and was built between the years 1936 to 1938.

This building is also the first building constructed steel frame, type of construction is relatively rare in the country.

Today, while the building awaits its turn with outer restoration, despite its old age you can clearly see it is a strong and solid as it was initially planned to be.

The building is one of the best examples of international style office building in Israel is defined as a structure for preservation as part of the White City of Tel Aviv.

The building features simple shapes cubes of 4 floors (building departments) and round facade height of 5 floors overlooking the intersection.

It is also notable that the horizontal ribbon windows that characterized the international style.

At a time when built, the route of today's railway Street railway moved from Jaffa to Jerusalem, and Beit Hadar stands to this day customs house was located next to the tracks.
